Two men are in hospital with what police describe as serious injuries following a pair of home invasions Monday in Kamloops.

RCMP say they were called to the Dallas neighbourhood in Kamloops shortly after 4 p.m.for a report of a residential break in in progress.

When they arrived, police discovered two homeowners in two separate homes has been injured in separate altercations with a male suspect.

Police say they were able to locate the suspect a short time later in the vicinity.

The unidentified male suspect is known to police.

RCMP are investigating at both residences.

No word on the severity of the victim's injuries.
