Winter holding off

Good news for the Okanagan this week, winter may be holding off a little longer.
"We shouldn't see a significant amount of snow over the next couple of days, it will just be a trace, said Environment Canada Meteorologist Lisa West.

When travelling through highway passes, drivers should be extra careful.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Monday on the Coquihalla Highway, from Hope to Merritt with total amounts of about 20 cms expected.

Monday will see showers off and on across the valley with a high of 6 C.

Kelowna will see a high of 5 C on Tuesday, with rain beginning in the morning.

Penticton will see a high of 7 C and showers, and Vernon is calling for 5 C and precipitation.

Wednesday will be the mildest day of the week at 10 C and cloudy.

On Thursday Environment Canada forecasts showers and a high of 9 C.

Friday will be cloudy and 6 C.

The weekend is calling for a high of 4 C on both Saturday and Sunday and a 30 per cent chance of showers on Sunday.
