3 Rockets on world jr. radar

Three members of the Kelowna Rockets will take part in this year's CIBC Canada-Russia Series.

The series, which pits the Russian junior team against squads from each of the three major junior league's in Canada, is stocked with players Hockey Canada is looking at for the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championship.

Forwards Dillon Dube, who won a silver medal at last year's event, Kole Lind and defenceman Cal Foote, will all suit up for the WHL squad when they face Russia in Moose Jaw Monday, Nov. 6 and Swift Current the following night.

Lind (Vancouver) and Foote (Tampa Bay), were both selected in the 2017 NHL draft. Dube was a 2016 selection of the Calgary Flames.

Lind leads the Rockets in scoring with seven goals and 17 points in nine games. Dube has three goals an 11 points in seven games while Foote has two goals and nine points in nine games.

In all, 13 players selected in the first or second round of the NHL draft will suit up for the WHL team.
