CRIME:            GYM LOCKER THEFTS

DATE:              October 10, 2017

RCMP FILE:    2017-61555, 2017-61418 etc

Kelowna RCMP are looking for two women they believe to be responsible for thefts from four local gyms on October 10, 2017.  The first theft was reported just after 7:30 a.m. when someone entered a locker in the women’s change room at Goodlife Fitness on Gordon Drive.  A 2008 white/beige Ford Escape with BC plate number DS501N was taken.  Just before 9:00 a.m. police received a call from a victim at Steve Nash gym who keys taken from an unlocked gym locker.  The woman’s 2012 black Mini Cooper with BC plate number CM855P was taken along with the woman’s wallet.  The bank cards were used at several nearby businesses.  Just after 1:00 p.m. thieves hit Mission Fitness Centre on Gordon Drive and cleaned out a locker containing a wallet and keys to a grey 2009 Hyundai Elantra with BC licence plate number 744RSE.  Hours later, a gym bag was taken from a woman’s locker at the YMCA on Hartman Road.  When the woman discovered the loss she alerted her boyfriend, who ran to the parking lot and confronted a suspicious woman near their vehicle.  The woman departed in a beige SUV with another person.   The woman is described as a black female in her 20’s with long dyed red hair wearing tight skinny jeans and white sneakers.  The second suspect is a Caucasian female in her 20’s wearing a baggy t-shirt and a toque.

CRIME:            THEFT OF AVALANCHE AIRBAG

DATE:              October 10, 2017

RCMP FILE:     2017-61554

Kelowna RCMP members were called on October 10th by staff at Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) when it was discovered that a $1250 avalanche airbag had been stolen.  Video surveillance was viewed which revealed this person of interest walking out of the Cooper Road store at approximately 5:20 p.m. sporting the black and red Arc’Teryx Voltair 20 Avalanche Airbag.
