Wednesday, October 18th marks the opening night concert of the 2017/2018 season for Chamber Music Kelowna featuring the accomplished Rolston String Quartet, first prize laureate of the 12th Banff International String Quartet Competition and named among the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s 2016 “30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30.” The Rolston String Quartet “… performs with a maturity and cohesion rivaling the best string quartets in the world” said Musical Toronto recently.
The concert, supported, in part, by The Banff International String Quartet Competition at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity will include works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Claude Debussy and Pyotr Tchaikovsky performed by quartet members Luri Lee, violin, Jeffrey Dyrda, violin, Hezekiah Leung, viola and Jonathan Lo, cello.
