For the 25th year, people in Kelowna took to the streets to spread awareness about the threats of violence women face in the community.
The annual Take Back the Night walk started with a rally in Kerry Park, followed by a march down Bernard Avenue to Richter Street and back.
Elizabeth Fry Society executive director Michelle Novakowski says most women don't feel safe walking around downtown at night, and that many men she speaks to are surprised by this.
