A travel trailer went up in flames overnight in West Kelowna's Glenrosa neighbourhood.

An explosion was heard, but it's unclear if the blast caused the fire or was as a result of it.

The camper was heavily damaged in the fire, which happened on Gates Road, just off Glenrosa Road, about 12:45 a.m.

The trailer was parked on a lot beside a home, and firefighters soaked down the RV as well as surrounding trees.

A cause of the blaze is not yet known.
