Two teenagers are facing possible charges after attacking a man who allegedly caught them breaking into a vehicle in the Shannon Lake area of West Kelowna.
RCMP said the resident was assaulted about 6:30 a.m. Friday after he reportedly confronted a young couple for breaking into a vehicle on Sundance Drive.
“That confrontation quickly escalated to violence, when one of the youths allegedly struck the victim with a baton, while the other struck the man with a rock,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
Officers flooded the area, backed up by a dog team, and a foot chased ensued.
Police arrested a 16-year-old Kelowna male and a 15-year-old West Kelowna female.
