Transport Canada is investigating a crash landing at Sechelt on Monday.

A 19-year-old student pilot went off the runway in a Cessna 172 at Sunshine Coast Regional Airport, coming to rest nose down in some bushes.

The pilot was alone in the aircraft, on a flight from Langley.

Firefighters, paramedics and police responded to the scene, but the pilot was uninjured and was able to exit the plane on his own.

Damage to the aircraft was minor.
