On Sunday afternoon, Township 7 Winery and Vineyards held their first fundraiser for the Okanagan-Similkameen SPCA.
The event on Aug. 20, called Sip and Support featured many local vendors, food trucks and live music from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., all while supporting a good cause.
"It helps the abandoned, abused and unwanted animals in our community," said Okanagan-Similkameen SPCA Branch Manager Carolyn Hawkins. "We also help with medical care and we re-home them to great family homes."
The by-donation event proved to be a success, with many people coming out to support the local SPCA.
"We've been having a pretty good turnout right now and the weather is beautiful and the wine is running free," Hawkins said.
All proceeds raised from the event with be donated to the Okanagan-Similkameen SPCA.
