Two people were taken to hospital following a motorcycle and passenger vehicle collision near the Penticton airport Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Highway 97 in front of Wright Beach Campground just after 3 p.m.

Penticton Deputy Fire Chief Chris Forster said two people were taken to hospital — a man and a woman — with unknown injuries. An RCMP crash analyst was called to the scene to investigate the crash, which reduced traffic to single lane alternating for about an hour.
