Skaha Ultraswim goes today

It’s the closing day of the 70th annual Penticton Peach Festival.

After a 14 year hiatus, the Skaha Lake Ultraswim is making its return today, starting at 7 a.m. at the Penticton shore of Skaha Lake, ending at Kenyon Park in Okanagan Falls.

The event has 100 swimmers taking part in the 11.8 kilometre race, billed as Canada’s longest open water lake swim.

Tom Lavin and the Legendary Powder Blues Band will close the festival tonight on the main stage in Okanagan Lake Park.
