Emergency crews have responded to the Central Green worksite in Kelowna, where a worker was apparently injured by falling construction materials.

Initial indications, though unconfirmed, are that a wall may have fallen on a worker.

One man was taken away in an ambulance, and firefighters were also on scene, about 3:15 pm.

The site superintendent appeared visibly shaken and shooed media off the grounds.

He would only say that the incident was under investigation.
