The cigarette problem

I think it is time for people to understand the cigarette problem.

Years ago, when my grandma would put her cigarette down and go do something, when she returned her cigarette needed to be relit. Now when you put a cigarette down it continues to burn. I believe the harmful chemicals were put into tobacco to cause the cigarettes to continue to burn.

Back in the late 1800s and early 1900s all the cowboys who smoked weren't carrying ash trays or lighting the country on fire. Also when you read westerns, a cowboy hiding from someone would have a smoke, you couldn't do that today as your enemy would follow the smell to find you.

I do believe people should be careful with cigarettes but I also believe it is time for the government to remove the cancer causing, fire starting chemicals from the tobacco products. I believe the chemicals were put into tobacco to generate more profits for cigarette companies and to generate more tax dollars for the government. Why else would someone agree to put those kinds of chemicals into something humans would consume?
