A 56-year-old Penticton man has died after a medical incident on Allendale Lake Road in Okanagan Falls on Wednesday.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at 1 p.m., and pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

Penticton RCMP initially told the public that it was a "motorcycle accident." However, a member of the man's family has since reached out to Castanet to state he was stationary at the time of the incident, and fell to the ground and passed away as a result of medical distress.

The B.C. Coroner's Service continues to investigate.
