Traffic is reported backed up for kilometres on Highway 97.

Witnesses are telling Castanet traffic in the northbound lanes is stacked up almost to Oyama.

Few details are available at this time, but Castanet has been told the accident is near Bailey Road and involves a tractor trailer unit.

There is no word on the severity of the accident or if there are any injuries.
