Thank you

The Social Justice 12 class of Mount Boucherie Senior Secondary has partnered up with stores in our community in hopes of helping our local outreach project of the Kelowna Women’s Shelter.

During our studies in class, we have studied the inequalities that society still faces, in specific to our project, the lack of resources that women have available. The Social Justice class had decided that the place where we could make the most impact in the community would be to help the women in the shelter. Our project is to create care packages to give to the women at the shelter in hopes of giving them resources to help their arrival and departure into the shelter.

We would like to recognize these community stores for going above and beyond to aid to our outreach project of the Kelowna Women’s Shelter. These stores have helped create new lifelong connections between our school, community and the shelter.

On behalf of the Social Justice 12 class we would like to thank the following community members: Save on Foods, Superstore, Saje, Starbucks, London Drugs, The Westbank First Nations band and Natures Fair.

Mr. Jason Hudson
Mount Boucherie Senior Secondary Social Justice Class
