Kelowna emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash at the corner of Ellis Street and Leon Avenue Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. just outside of the Royal Bank of Canada on the corner of Ellis Street and Leon Avenue and involved a white car and a purple car. The latter wound up on the sidewalk with damage to the front and at least one of the wheels.

Debris was scattered in the intersection of Ellis and Leon and pylons were set up to direct traffic, though it's unclear how long traffic was affected for.

Firefighters reportedly assisted with loading at least one patient into an ambulance, but it's not clear the extent of the injuries.
