Dube signs NHL deal

The Kelowna Rockets' forward has inked a three-year entry level contract with the NHL's Calgary Flames.

The Flames made the announcement Friday morning.

Dube was selected in the second round, 56th overall by the Flames in the 2016 NHL entry draft.

He had a late start to the WHL season, missing the first 19 games with an upper body suffered at Flames training camp.

Dube also missed time while suiting up for Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships.

In 40 games with the Rockets, Dube amassed 20 goals and 55 points.

Terms of the deal were not announced.

Dube is the third member of the Rockets to sign an entry level contract this season.

Earlier, Calvin Thurkauf (Columbus) and Lucas Johansen (Washington), both signed deals. Both were also selected in last year's NHL draft.
