Jennifer Lopez is reportedly dating former baseball player Alex Rodriguez.
The 47-year-old singer recently enjoyed a brief fling with collaborator Drake, but is now said to have struck up a romance with Alex, who counts Madonna, Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz among his famous exes.
"They have been dating for a few weeks," a source told People.com. "Jennifer seems excited. He has been around her family and she really likes that he is a dad. She is aware, though, that he is a ladies' man too and is being cautious. For now, it's just fun. She is single and enjoys dating."
Jennifer is mother to nine-year-old twins Max and Emme from her marriage to Marc Anthony, while Alex shares Natasha, 12, and eight-year-old Ella with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.
A representative for Alex, known by the nickname A-Rod, had no comment about the fledgling romance when contacted by the outlet, while Jennifer's spokesperson has yet to respond to a request for comment.
Alex, 41, only became single again himself recently, after ending his relationship with businesswoman Anne Wojcicki in February after nearly a year of dating.
The romance is the first for Jennifer after calling time on her fling with Drake. However, a source told People.com that both Jennifer and the 30-year-old rapper were aware their romance wasn't a long-term thing.
"It was and is fun when they see each other," the source said earlier this year. "They love hanging out and making music together. She has great respect for him and his talent and he does for her as well."
Jennifer has a history of dating younger men, her former beau Casper Smart is aged 29. However, she insisted during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently that age isn't something she considers when starting a relationship.
"First of all, stop! I don't date younger men. I don't think men have to be younger. It's not about that," she said. "It has nothing to do with age! It depends on whether or not I'm attracted to their spirit, their soul, their whatever... their energy."
