Man lured kids with cash

Kamloops RCMP are warning residents to beware a man who allegedly tried to lure two children into his home.

Police received a report Sunday evening regarding a suspicious male in the area of Kelly Drive and Tranquille Road.

“An unknown male approached two boys playing in the area, asking them to attend his home and suggested he would give them cash,” Cpl. Cheryl Bush said Monday.

The man is described as being about 40 years old with dark hair and a smaller build. He was wearing sweat pants and a black coat, and was carrying a black and red backpack.

“Police have not identified the male described and would ask anyone with information to please call Kamloops RCMP or call CrimeStoppers to remain anonymous,” said Bush.
