Update 5 p.m.: The report of shots fired that allegedly came from a known drug house Monday afternoon, turned out to be nothing quite so serious.

Investigators were able to determine that the shots fired had come from a starter pistol being used at the golf course across the road.

According to Cst. Kris Clark, the pistol fires blanks, it's used to clear geese from the property.

In all, eight people were arrested at the home, but five men and two women won't face any charges related to the investigation and have since been released.

One man from inside the residence was wanted on an unrelated, outstanding warrant and will be released for Court at a later date.
