Police swarm WK home

UPDATE 9:20 A.M. - Kelowna RCMP say last night's incident in West Kelowna was an 'incident of self harm.' Cst. Kris Clark says members saved the man who remains in serious but stable condition in hospital.

Several RCMP vehicles and a K-9 unit along with BC Ambulance and West Kelowna Fire were called out to a police incident Wednesday night.

Unconfirmed reports initially came in saying a person may have been stabbed and another person had fled the scene.

Our reporter on the scene says three ambulances attended and at least one person was transported to hospital.

The investigation centred around a home on Boucherie Road.

The K-9 unit was searching the creek while other officers appeared to search the nearby street area.

The call came in shortly before 9 p.m. and as of 10:30 p.m. RCMP has left the scene.

It is unknown if anyone is in custody.

We will have more details as they become available.
