Buttercup is a little beauty looking for that special fur-ever home where she can be absolutely spoiled with love and affection. When she came into the SPCA as a stray Buttercup was pretty wild and had little socialization with humans. She has spent the last few months in a foster home learning what it is to be around people, and is continuing to build her confidence. She can still be easily startled, and anxious of loud noises or fast movements, and would do best in a quiet adult home without children. She is likely not suitable for an inexperienced cat guardian, and ideally needs someone who is prepared to give her all the gentle love and patience she needs to blossom into the loving companion she can be. Buttercup has come a long way and loves pets and scratches, even weaving around the feet of her favourite person, but she can play 'hard to get' and prefers to be the one seeking out the attention. She may never be a lap cat but she is learning how nice it is to cuddle in bed on lazy mornings.
Buttercup gets along really well with other cats and is actually very playful, zooming around her foster home with her feline friend. She needs a home with another cat or two to help her be her happiest self. Buttercup needs a patient, understanding adopter who can provide a safe, quiet space where she can be her best self, a curious and playful young kitty. Could you be that special someone?
