Red is an ENERGETIC girl looking for a home that has EXPERIENCE with her breed.
Cattle dogs are a herding breed and are very active dogs that need proper exercise and mental stimulation. Cattle dogs are very smart, protective, and courageous dogs. Red is a friendly girl but can be a bit nervous when meeting new people. She has enjoyed playing with other dogs but still requires slow and proper introductions to ensure the best success with her new furry friends! We are unsure how Red would be around small animals. Red has shown herding tendency towards people, so she will require a home without small children. She would do best in a home that is very active, and willing to be patient with her while she continues to learn and figure things out. Red would probably also excel at dog sports such as agility, scent work, or tracking as she is very smart and a quick learner.
A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.
