Rachel is a lovely Lop earred rabbit who came from a home with too many rabbits in a crowded environment. We don't know her history or her exact age unfortunately, just that she's a sweet, young rabbit who has really come out of her shell and is getting friendlier and braver every day. Rachel is a gentle and shy lady who is growing in confidence as she gets used to being handled, and would be a great addition to a home with a rabbit savvy guardian who can help her get used to more handling. She's curious and likes to explore her enclosure - especially to search for treats! She is fairly good about using her litter box, and very tidy and clean overall except when she likes to dig through her box and throw stuff around. She would likely get along with another rabbit or two with proper, slow introductions as she is great friends with another rabbit in our care, Raymond. In fact if you're looking for two rabbits, Rachel and Raymond are quite the loving pair. Rachel is still a bit too young to be spayed but does have a appointment scheduled in February. She can go home with a local foster-to-adopt fur-ever home while we await her spay appointment. Could it be with you?Rabbits require special housing, diet, and care. Adopters will need to show knowledge of this to help lovely Rachel have a happy and healthy life. An adoption counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal. Do you think you could be Rachel's person? Here are some ways to find out:1. Visit our centre to meet this pet, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or2. Fill out our rabbit adoption application https://spca.bc.ca/wp-content/uploads/BC_SPCA_Rabbit_Matching_Survey.pdf, and email it to [email protected] Staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their interest. We are not able to contact all applicants
