ANNOUNCES FULL EVENT SCHEDULE AND EXTENDED MAIN EVENT HOURS
MAIN EVENT HOURS EXPANDED TO 11:30 AM - 5:30 PM
March 10, 2020 (KELOWNA, BC): Great Okanagan Beer Festival (GOBF), presented by The Train Station Pub, is excited to announce their full event
schedule for 2020. In addition to 8 days of programming the Main Event has also been extended by an hour and will take place from 11:30 AM -
5:30 PM on Saturday, May 9, at Waterfront Park.
Kicking off the festivies on Sunday, May 3, is a Sunday Funday Brew Tour. Patrons can enjoy a brunch at The Train Station Pub, followed by a Smile
Cycle tour to three different breweries before returning back to The Train Station Pub for snacks, beers, and patio games.
On Monday night come test your beer knowledge at Beer Trivia Night and you could have the chance of winning four general admission tickets
to GOBF Main Event. Tuesday, May 5, marks Cinco de Mayo and to celebrate The Train Station Pub has partnered with Tree Brewing to bring you a
Mexican lager and an agave infused cask brewed specially for this event.
A long-standing fan favorite, Drink Up + Down Dog, hosted by Lululemon Kelowna, will be returning for its third year on Wednesday, May 6,
from 7 PM - 9 PM. This popular yoga and beer event will be moving to a new locatino for 2020, and will be taking place at the Okanagan Mission
Community Hall. This is an evening of yoga, connection, and local love all tied up with a few laughs and some of Okanagan’s finest craft beer.
Local instructors will guide you through a yoga practice that’s light, sweet, and guaranteed fun, followed by an hour of community connection
served up with delicious tastings from a local brewery. Be sure to bring a friend and come thirsty! This event is by donation with partial proceeds
going towards a charity of Lululemon Kelowna’s choice.
On Thursday, May 7, GOBF 2019 Best in Fest award winner, Twin Sails Brewing, and People’s Choice award winner, Slackwater Brewing, are going
head to head in a battle of the breweries at The Train Station Pub. Also this evening, Midtown Station Kitchen + Drink, will be hosting a Cask Night
brought to you by Lighthouse Brewing.
Saturday, May 9 , is the Main Event, and nothing will prepare you more than a Pregame brunch, presented by Grimm’s Fine Foods, at The Train
Station Pub. This Pregame brunch will showcase a special themed menu crafted by the chefs at Grimm’s Fine Foods, as well as Caesar specials.
After brunch, stroll on over to the Main Event at Waterfront Park to sample 120+ brewers from over 60 different breweries. New for 2020, the
gate will be opening at 11:30 AM with last entry at 4:30 PM. There will be a variety of food trucks onsite, interactive games, axe throwing by Axe
Monkeys, and live music. General Admission and All Access Tickets are on sale now.
Those keen to keep the celebrations going after the Main Event will want to head over to The Train Station Pub for the Official Afterparty. DJ
Invisible will be playing tunes on the patio until 9 PM before Red Chair, from Whistler, take to the stage. Entry is subject to capacity so attendees
are encouraged to arrive early to guarantee entry.
