EXCITING POSSIBILITIES FOR BX RANCH LAND

The BX Ranch Land (BXRL) task force invites area residents to a public presentation at Schubert Centre on Tuesday November 21, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm to discuss the future of the remaining BX ranch land.

“This is possibly the last chance to save a large property on the city’s border for future green space and park,” says Paul Williamson, BXRL chair. The BXRL task force is a broadly-based community group in favour of keeping the remainder of this historic and valuable property in public hands. “A potential use of the land could be to develop a Community Agricultural Park or perhaps a venue for education and research,” adds Williamson. “We want to keep the focus on agricultural but within that broad definition there are many exciting possibilities.”

“This is an opportunity for residents to ask questions, get more information, make suggestions and share their vision for this unique property.” The presentation is free, open to the public and takes place in the Schubert Centre banquet room.
