A local group in Kelowna is on a mission to spread cheer throughout the community while fundraising for the kids this holiday season by singing Christmas carols downtown. Led by Kendra McFarland, the Caroling for a Cause group all began with her hope that holiday carols could spread positivity throughout the community:

“I created Caroling for a Cause with the intention of spreading holiday cheer and happiness – I find that sometimes this season isn’t the happiest for everyone and I’d like to change that… if even just for that moment while they are passing by.”

They can be found (or heard) meeting by the “big blue bear” at Stuart Park (see dates below) before they head off canvasing local businesses and collecting donations for The Okanagan Boys & Girls Club. With an ambitious goal of raising $2000.00, the group is looking for all of the help they can get. If you’re looking for a fun way to give back this holiday season or you just love to sing, the group is actively recruiting more carolers, musicians and businesses to participate in the fun – all ages and skill levels are welcome (as long as you’re a nice person)!

Saturday, Dec. 17th from 4 - 6:00
Tuesday, Dec. 20th from 12 - 2:00
Wednesday, Dec. 21st from 12 - 2:00
Thursday, Dec. 22nd from 12 - 2:00
Friday, Dec. 23rd from 12 - 2:00

They are happy to carol at your place of business in exchange for a donation to the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs!
