Carsharing has come to Kelowna General Hospital

OGO Carshare Co-op is pleased to announce that it has now a vehicle parked and ready to use at Kelowna General Hospital. The car is conveniently parked in the South East corner of the Dr. Walter Anderson parking lot and is a joint venture between both OGO and Kelowna General Hospital.

Recognizing the growing parking pressure in the area, Kelowna General Hospital has stepped up as a leader in the community and partnered with OGO to add a new vehicle to the carshare fleet at the hospital itself. Statistically, a single carshare vehicle in a single carshare parking spot replaces on average a total of fifteen private vehicles helping to ease parking and traffic pressures in the area the cars are at.

This will be the first OGO vehicle in the hospital area and the tenth vehicle in the carshare fleet. OGO's vehicles are located in the Downtown Kelowna, South Pandosy, the Landmark/Parkinson Rec area, next to UBCO, and now at the hospital. The addition of a vehicle at Kelowna General Hospital allows for an unbroken corridor of easy access to carshare vehicle stretching all the way from South Pandosy to our downtown core.
