Kelowna, BC, April 5, 2015 – The Save Kindness Society, in partnership with Mamas for Mamas Inc, presents Food for Gifts – Spring into Giving, May 2, from 10 am until 2 pm, in support of The Bridge Youth and Family Services.

Jodi Quibell, Founder and Executive Director of The Save Kindness Society, believes in supporting community. “This is the sixth Food for Gifts, and the amount of food and support it’s received has grown every time”, says Jodi.

Food for Gifts relies on donations of gently used items, such as those typically seen in a garage sale. Books, clothing, household items, toys and small appliances are all accepted. Items must be clean, in good repair, and safe for others to use.

For this event, The Save Kindness Society is partnering with Mamas for Mamas Inc, a non-profit that supports moms and children. Any donations of women’s or children’s items left after the event will be given to both The Bridge Youth and Family Services and Mamas for Mamas Inc.

The Save Kindness Society supports all people in reaching their goals through connection with services and support organizations. We advocate for those who require extra support and provide opportunities for individuals to feel valued through connections with appropriate volunteer and work opportunities.
