Look Out! KFX’s Summer Festival Announcement Coming Friday the 13th
It’s been two long years without a pop culture celebration in Kelowna. That’s why New Vintage theatre is moving their 7th annual event to the summer and going even bigger to make up for lost time. This Friday, the 13th New Vintage Theatre Artistic Director Bonnie Gratz and Festival Producer Kimberly Billinton announce the festival line up, complete with visits from special guests and video messages from participating celebrities.
“We can’t wait to let our dedicated fans and new fans alike in on our line up. Kelowna’s first and oldest pop culture festival has expanded again-this time onto Bernard Avenue and into the Delta Grand Okanagan in addition to our favourite locations at the RCA and Black Box Theatre. Okanagan Regional Libraries will also be offering programming in multiple locations in the region, kicking off our festival early!”, says Director Bonnie Gratz.
Kelowna Fan Experience is a celebration of all things pop culture including film, cosplay, animation, art, gaming, comics, horror movies, wrestling and more. There will be a chance to meet and learn from celebrity guests and see top notch performers of all kinds. This year’s event is expected to host over 3500 people from July 15-17 and coincides with New Vintage Theatre’s run of the Broadway hit, The SpongeBob Musical.
Press, super fans and members of the public are invited to New Vintage Theatre’s KFX press conference on May 13 at 11:15am in Studio 100, Rotary Centre for the Arts. Cosplayers will be on site for photo opportunities.
Tickets are available at www.kelownafx.com. Kids under 10 are free.
