Holiday Park Resort Announces New General Manager
Aug 17, 2021
Holiday Park RV & Condo Resort Community in Kelowna is pleased to welcome Sam Sigal as its new General Manager. Sam replaces Don Culic who has been General Manager of the resort for the past 20 years. In transitioning this responsibility, Don’s dedication and commitment to the resort’s smooth operation has provided excellent training and support to Sam over the past 3½ years.
Sam is the 3rd generation Sigal to be operating this well-known, successful family business, founded in 1983 by Saul Sigal and Jody Lafontaine. Sam was born at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, grew up in Okanagan Centre and graduated from George Elliot High School in 2009. He relocated to Nanaimo in 2010 to attend Vancouver Island University.
After graduating with a BA in Natural Resource Protection, Sam moved to Lillooet and worked with the Provincial Government as a wildland fire fighter for two summers. Returning to Lake Country in 2016, he continued summer fire fighting and says “Lake Country is a great community to live in and even though it has grown considerably in the last 20 years, it still feels like home.”
An avid fisherman, Sam also enjoys hunting, ski holidays and as a result of global traveling, has realized that the tourism industry is a perfect fit for a lasting career.
Sam is excited about his position as General Manager of Holiday Park Resort and is dedicated to ensuring the resort continues its excellent status as one of Canada’s finest resort communities, providing the ‘Sweetlife’ to residents and guests for many years to come.
