KELOWNA, British Columbia – In response to the current global pandemic, the state of today’s hospitality industry and the fact we will now be spending much more time indoors, Wings Tap & Grill located on Hwy 33 in Kelowna, BC and Main ST in West Kelowna, have implemented many protocols to help provide the safest environment for our guests and staff.
In addition to using completely non-toxic cleaning and sanitizing products in every area of our building including washrooms, hard surfaces, floors, walls, fixtures and hygiene procedures such as sanitizers, single use or digital menus and single use coasters, we are also proud to announce our Hwy 33 location is THE VERY FIRST RESTAURANT IN BRITISH COLUMBIA to install a patented air “cleansing” system.
In conjunction with John Bishop at BC Air Filter Ltd and Global Plasma Solutions (GPS) of Charlotte NC, we have invested thousands of dollars in a patented technology, needlepoint bipolar ionization, also known as NPBI™, that purifies indoor air by reducing airborne particulates, odors and pathogens — all while saving energy and lowering our carbon footprint.
The GPS system delivers clean indoor air without producing ozone or other harmful by-products. Pollutants, dust, dander, pollen, smoke and even pathogens such as mold, viruses and bacteria all can be suspended in the air we breathe, even when you do not see them.
This system safely creates and releases ions into the airstream using our existing HVAC system as the delivery method. When these ions disperse throughout a space, they seek out and form bonds with particles in the air through a process called agglomeration. This creates a snowball effect in which particles begin to cluster together. The larger a cluster of particles becomes, the easier it is for our system to safely filter it out of the air. The technology deactivates these substances and has already been proven effective against SARS, norovirus and several strains of influenza. This process is proven by independent laboratory testing to be both safe and effective.

Contact with positive and negative ions have microbicidal effects on pathogens, which ultimately disrupts their surface proteins and renders them inactive.
Naturally occurring ions are everywhere in the outdoors, and they are constantly working to clean the air. Ions are created with energy from rushing water, crashing waves and even sunlight. GPS’ NPBI technology generates these same ions so we can bring outdoor freshness indoors.
Global Plasma Solutions virtually eliminates static SARS-CoV-2 with proprietary NPBI™ technology.
Global Plasma Solutions is the first air purification solution to test SARS-CoV-2, achieving a 99.4% reduction of the surface strain within 30 minutes
We are excited to provide this next level safety for our guest and staff in these uncertain times.
We can provide technical data and contact information not included in this release.

Stay safe, healthy and be kind!

Yours in hospitality,
