Tangerine, the colour of summer
Jul 6, 2012 / 5:00 am
Orange has never been a go-to colour of mine. It always seemed too autumn or too neon, reminding me of either Halloween or prison-themed outfits. This summer my tune is changing when it comes to this primary colour, with tangerine stealing my heart. Its sweet, cool, crisp and distinctively summer vibe is at the top of my trend list right now. And in fact, Pantone declared Tangerine Tango to be the colour of 2012. The reddish, coral, and orange mixture its the perfect colour to mix with all your other summer shades:
Tangerine with periwinkle blue: Wear this summer's trendy bandage skirt in the hottest shade of the year, tangerine, and pair it with a periwinkle top and a hot pink bag for a great take on colour blocking.
Tangerine with mint green: What could be better than combing the two biggest colours of the season, tangerine and mint green?! Throw a little cobalt blue in there for good measure, and you are completely on point. I love adding vintage details to this tangerine peter pan blouse like a straw boater hat and a pair of clogs give this look a cool vintage vibe.
