Pastels

The hottest colours this spring are also the most classic colours of spring.  Pastels, from mint green and faded pinks to lavender and baby blues are everywhere and anywhere right now, as pastel has become the must-have palette to break out of your winter wardrobe.

These subtle shades go perfectly with your neutral pieces in white, black, and grey. Add a single pastel piece as a pop of colour if you find it hard to break out of the wintery monochrome look.  A pastel pump, piece of jewellery, or a belt added to your work ensemble will brighten up your suit in a more subtle way than a more saturated or neon colour will; if you're not used to wearing colour, pastels are the perfect gateway.

For the more adventurous, pastels work extremely well when paired together.  Try them in all kinds of different combinations; match a mint green blouse with a pair of peach skinny jeans and a pair of lemon yellow pumps. Or make the pastel statement with your makeup by wearing a peach lipstick or a sweep of lavender eye shadow.  Whatever you choose, wear it with confidence!
