The statement necklace

With each change of season comes new trends, and with new trends comes more clothing to add to our wardrobes. If you're like me, with each new season the fashion wish list becomes bigger than the wallet can support. Fortunately, there are a few ways we can change up our wardrobe without having to break the bank.  One of my personal favourites is by adding a piece of statement jewellery.

Adding a statement necklace can create an entirely new take on your old t-shirt or your favourite blouse. The statement necklace should be the focal point of your outfit and do just as it is defined; make a statement. Bolder is better!

Statement necklaces are popping up all over this Spring, and many cool examples can be found for affordable prices. Look for a necklace that carries a bit of weight as well as interesting details like spikes, chains, or flowers. Don't be afraid to add this trend to your spring brights!

When trying this trend, you should keep your earrings simple; too much going on above your neck can look too costume-y. An oversized watch or a cocktail ring, however, can absolutely be added to the outfit.
