Pajama dressing

With the New Year comes New Years resolutions! I always try to make attainable fashion-related ones: past resolutions have been to wear heels three times a week, and to stick to a nightly skin-care routine. This year? I resolve to look cuter when lounging at home before bed. I do like to be fashionable in the day time but the minute I get home I like to throw on my oversized hoodies and pajama pants. While comfortable, it’s not always the most fashionable look.

Fortunately, pajama dressing is a huge trend right now, seen on fall/winter runways and now transitioning onto fashion blogs and magazines. This is an influenced trend, not a literal one, so don’t start wearing your puppy printed PJ set out anytime soon. The looks are tailored yet flowing, with silk fabrics, buttoned up shirts with matching bottoms and piping. Pajama dressing works with soft fabrics that are loose cut. Matching is very important in this trend, so look for clothes that all work together. Its also very important to have extra glamorous hair and makeup for a contrast and heels are a great add on.

I’ve added some more lounge wear outfits that don’t exactly match this trend but it may give you some ideas for lounging in style this winter season and on New Years Day!
