YOSHIDA, Akiye (Rose)

YOSHIDA, Akiye (Rose) - Passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the age of 81.

She is survived by her loving family: son Owen (Tracy) of Kelowna; five grandchildren: Avery, Jonathan and Taylor Yoshida, Jennifer and Sarah Gillett; four brothers: Gen Miki (Gene) of Hamilton, ON, Shiro Miki of Rexall, ON, Jim Miki of Vernon, BC, Harry Miki (Kaye) of Mississauga, ON and one sister Francis Murakami of Lethbridge, AB. Sadly predeceased by her husband Tomatsu (Tim) Yoshida, daughter Marilyn Gillett and sister Jean Yoshida.

There will be a viewing for family and friends on Saturday, January 17th at 10:00 am at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.

Funeral Service and interment of ashes planned for May 2009 in Lethbridge, AB.

Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC, 865 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 6P6.
