WILSON, Murray Reynolds - Passed away peacefully Aug. 1, 2011 at the age of 65 in the presence of family at the Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.

Murray is predeceased by his father Les Wilson and is survived by his loving wife Louise, his mother Elsie, daughters Tara Pearson (Tyler) and grandson Jett, Shellan Anderson (Rob) and grand-daughters Holly and Brook, and step-son Sean Jarvis (Cynthia) and step-grandson Tarik.

Murray came from a large and close-knit family and is survived by 4 brothers, David (Jill), Donald (Susie), Michael (Deidre), Peter (Jan) and two sisters, Noreen Schmidt (Lloyd) and Loraine Kemp (John) and many nieces and nephews.

He was a well-known businessman who worked 42 years as a realtor in Kelowna and was known for his compassion, integrity, and honesty. His outgoing and humorous personality and his ability to live ‘larger than life’ will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He joked about hitching a ride with the snowbirds last weekend and at the precise moment they flew over the Hospice, he passed away on a wing and a prayer.

With much gratitude the family extends many thanks to Dr. Butterworth, the staff at KGH, the Cancer Centre and the caring staff at the Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church, 3131 Lakeshore Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna B.C. V1Y 2Z6

• My heart goes out to you Louise, his extended family and the Wilson family. Murray has been a part of our family's life from the time we were children. He had an infectious smile, great sense of humour, a never ending supply of his great bear hugs and always had the time for a quick chat or.... longer! We lived in the same complex for 15 years as well. He forever had a kind word and was a great friend. Will miss you very much.
