WHITE, Gillian Jean

(nee Nicol)
December 25, 1961 - February 15, 2018

Gillian Jean White passed away peacefully February 15th, 2018 after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. She passed comfortably and surrounded by love in her home at the age of 56.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Justine and Adam White; parents Allan and Jean Nicol; sister Jennifer (Mark) and nephew Nicolas Pelesh, as well as her many loving and supportive friends.

Gillian was born in Winnipeg on Christmas Day 1961 and moved with her family to North Vancouver in 1965. She graduated from Carson Graham Secondary in 1979 and soon went on to become a financial advisor with the Royal Bank of Canada. She was employed by RBC for 39 years and throughout her career built an amazing network of life long friends. She moved to Kelowna in 1993 and enjoyed touring wineries, going for picnics and spending time with her friends and family.

Gillian's family would like to thank her amazing team of doctors, especially Dr. Koss, who continuously went above and beyond. They would also like to thank the team of palliative nurses and home-care aids for their loving support and compassion that brought comfort to Gillian and her family as she spent her final days at home.

A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on March 3rd, 2018 in the "Horizon Room" at Coast Capri hotel located at 1171 Harvey Avenue.

Sending my condolences to the family during this very difficult time..

I do hope that time will soften the pain until all that remains is the beauty of the memories and the love.....always the love.

It was pleasure to work with Gillian at the Royal Bank (Orchard Plaza). I will always remember her beautiful smile. She was a gorgeous lady inside and out.

Such a kind and caring lady taken way to soon! Jillian and I worked at RBC for many years together. We had many good laughs while trying to get our work done. She always spoke very fondly of her children, as they were the most important thing to her.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about Gillian. I worked with her for many years at RBC and she was a delight to everyone that met her. Always had a smile. Was so proud of her two wonderful children. You will be miss by many. My prayers are with her family during this time.

Sorry to hear of Gillian's passing. I only worked with Gillian for a short time, with the RBC Family, she was a beautiful lady, she will be missed.
