VAN WENT, Catharina Maria (Cathy) nee Jansen

March 19, 1921 - June 11, 2017

Our beloved mother, Oma, and Great Oma departed this earth on Sunday June 11, 2017 at the age of 96. Preceded by an infant daughter and her beloved husband Nick (1995). Her memory lives on in her children Peter (Dianne) (Winnipeg); Nick (Winfield); Cathy DeGelder (Evert) (Winfield); 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Cathy was born in Leiden Holland and Married Nick in 1940. Nick and Cathy moved the family to Winnipeg in 1958, then retired to Winfield in 1986 to enjoy life in the Okanagan.

The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Lake Country Lodge for their loving care over the last 15 years.
Our sincere thank you also to the staff at the Lake Country Lodge for their exceptional care of our mother and family members during her last remaining days, words cannot express the comfort you provided.

A private family memorial will be held in Winnipeg in July 2017
