VANBEEST, Abraham (Albert) Joseph

Abraham (Albert) Joseph VanBeest, born November 18, 1936 in Amsterdam passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Fathers Day.

Predeceased by his wife Hedy of 50 years and survived by his children Diana, Linda, Albert, Roy (Sherry), Hedy (Mark) and 9 grand-children Mariah, Tanis, Alexander, Katelin, Fiona, Tamsen, Juliana, Christina and Mathias.

Albert and Hedy immigrated from Holland in 1958 settling in Calgary AB, and then in 1974 moved to the sunny Okanagan. They lived in Kelowna for 40 years. Albert's life was full and centered around his family, travel and architectural design career. Albert was the President of three Kelowna Activity Centers. He enjoyed classical music, singing, and collecting clocks. Above all he loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Albert will be greatly missed by all especially Shirley, his loving companion of nine years.
