TRUANT, Vanda Victoria

Vanda Victoria Truant was born in Red Lake, Ontario on July 25, 1938 and passed away in Kelowna at the age of 78. She was a very sociable lady in spite of her many challenges. Vanda was pre-deceased by her parents, Leonardo and Maddelena Truant. She is survived by her sister, Mary (Brian) Volpatti of Trail, BC and three nieces and their families. Vanda spent many years at the Bethesda Home in Kelowna, where the care was exemplary and to whom we owe our utmost thanks. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1910 Windsor Road in Kelowna. Casket interment will follow in Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery beside her mother and father. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Vanda's name to the Bethesda Christian Association c/o 105-2975 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC V2T5T4. My sincere condolences. I had not see Vanda for many years but do remember her well as she would come with her mom and dad to play cards with my parents. Thinking of you.

My sincere condolences to Mary and her family. Although I lost contact for many years, I remember Vanda very well growing up. Always happy and bubbly despite her disabilities.

Vanda was a special person. She was always happy to see people and interested in what you where doing. Everytime I saw her she always brought joy, not just to me but to the whole room.
