The family of Irene Tkachuk sadly announces her passing at Parkview Place, Enderby BC on June 7, 2012 at the age of 76 years, after a short yet courageous battle with cancer.

Irene will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years Fred of Enderby; two sons Stuart (Adrienne) of Winnipeg and Greg (Loryl) of Armstrong; sisters Ollie McCurdy of Edmonton and Mary Martin of Sparwood; sisters-in-law Mary Katzuk of Armstrong and Betty Tkachuk of Edmonton; aunt Olga Sawchuk of Vancouver; nephews Dana and Scott McCurdy, Dave Tkachuk, Wayne and Edwin Katzuk; nieces Jody McCurdy, Lorrie Stark and Sherri McCormick. She was predeceased by her parents Andrew Danacko, Mary Csonka and step-father George Csonka; brother-in-laws Alex McCurdy, Pete Tkachuk and Mike Katzuk.

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview Place for their compassionate care during Irene's last days.

Please join us on Tuesday, June 26th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Armstrong / Spallumcheen Cemetery for a Graveside Service followed by a come and go tea at Fred's home.

A donation can be made in Irene's memory to the BC Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
