THIMER, Ronald Edward
October 31, 1940 – February 16, 2011

Ronald passed away after a very brief battle with cancer.

He is survived by his best friend and wife of 43 years, Bonnie; son Cameron; daughter in law Stacey and granddaughter Crimson. He is predeceased by his beloved son Darin.

Ron was a kind and loving man who enjoyed life as a farmer. As per his life wish, Ron will be laid to rest with his son in Villeneuve, Alberta.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that a donation be made in memory of Ronald Thimer to the Cancer Centre for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 5L3.

I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond’s glint on the snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn’s rain
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.

Friends and family are invited to an open house at the family home on Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
