TEMME, Irmgard (Fidora) - Passed away on January 10th, 2012. She was born in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany August 1st, 1939. She is predeceased by her children Swen and Ilka (Schutte). Irmgard is survived by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Robert; her son Dean, daughter-in-law Carla (Pucci) and her son-in-law Darrel Schutte. She was adored and will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Tyson, Danika, Hayden, Samantha and Stephanie.

She met Robert in 1959 and they married in 1962. In 1967 the family immigrated to Canada and settled in Kelowna in 1975. She was a member of the German Canadian Club, Kelowna Hostesses and the Woman’s Place (27 years). She especially enjoyed the 6:30am classes with her friends. Irmgard will be remembered for her passion for fashion and hair style, her love of flowers and knitting and her spirited storytelling. She loved hiking and traveling with Robert in their motorhome in search of the sun and adventure. She will be missed by all…

As per her wishes a private family gathering took place in her honour.

• I met Irma working out at TWP 15 years ago. I had just moved here with my three young girls looking for a new start after losing my husband to cancer two years before. As we were both tall we had something else in common besides working out. We both had lost family far too young. Over the years that followed she was such an inspiration to me. I am honoured to have known her. I will miss her!

  Irma was one of the first ladies I met at the Women's Place over 25 years ago, she became part of the "Ladies of the Club" and stayed in touch with nearly 30 of these ladies throughout all these years, we will miss her dearly.

• Our heartfelt condolences go out to Irma's family. Irma was a delight to see every day and we will miss her exuberant personality! She made many new members feel welcome and comfortable and was always available to help them get over their nervousness. She had a wonderful sense of humour and we were always so happy to have her back from her many travels.
  
  Irma was a delight to have in class as she had an ability to laugh at herself and in turn brought laughter to many others.

• Like many of those preceding, I became acquainted with Irma early mornings at the Woman's Place. The locker room always seemed to lack life if Irma for some reason was not there. I lost three family members in a short period of time, and Irma was a constant comfort to me through that time.
  
  "Live, Love, Laugh" - I think that was coined by someone who knew Irma. She will be missed dreadfully.
