Mr. Tanaka was a friend of my Mum's, Joan Chamberlain. He often would leave veggies on her doorstep. They were high school friends even though he was a few years younger than Mum. A very kind man, I always enjoyed talking to him about gardening.

Our thoughts are with the family. My memory of Shig goes back to 1970s. He was hardworking, driving half-ton truck. He brings his family to Sunday services, helping bazaar, cutting lawn and so on.
