Though we are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of our dear friend Shiro...we can all smile as we recall so many fond memories we shared over the years.

Shiro was a beloved and devoted employee of our family tire store for nearly 40 years....and in every sense of the word an integral part of our business.

Quiet and unassuming...a gentle and kind man with a great sense of humour...

Shiro exemplified the true meaning of hard work and dedication.

    You will be missed

Shiro was a wonderful man who embraced family. He was my Father-in-law and grandfather to our 4 children who have emulated his moral values in their children and careers.

Shiro, we all love you dearly!

Shiro lived in our Harwood Park neighbourhood. We are newcomers here and sadly, did not get to know him beyond a smile and a quick hello in passing on our street. Without exception, the long-time Harwood residents spoke of him with respect, also saying he was kind and generous to his friends and neighbours. He will be missed.

Our condolences to his family and friends,

Words can not describe the words on the impact that Mr. Tamaki had on the lives on our family. He led by example how to listen, be patient and the recognition that every person is special. He had respect for everyone, young and old. He will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you,

Shiro and Audrey were the best Solly Court neighbours one could have... so upbeat and encouraging. Our family relationship goes back to my mother growing up with Shiro and his family on their farms. We miss them both.

So stoked to have spent some time with Shiro over the last few years on our visits from New Zealand. Such a great conversationalist and intellectual and just a pleasure to be around. Top bloke!

    Go well Shiro #canucks.

I met Shiro and Audrey shortly after they moved into Harwood Park. I was their Avon lady and still Shiro's Tax lady. They were both wonderful people that I will remember fondly. I will miss your smile Shiro, say hi to Audrey for me. Jeannine Patora

We were shocked to see the notice of Shiro's passing. Kurt has known him for many many years through his brother Richard who was best man at our wedding. We knew most of the Tamakis. We stayed with them for a few days until we got settled in Kelowna. Shiro was so upbeat and always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. Our condolences to the family.
