STERBLING, Theresia "Terry" (nee Righetti)

Mom was born in 1921 in Odessa, Sask. into a large family of which she was the last surviving member. She moved to Winnipeg as a young woman where she met and married her husband George. They later moved to Montmartre, Sask. and opened a bakery which they operated for many years and where they raised their family.

She and Dad moved back to Winnipeg where she enjoyed working at the University of Winnipeg library until she retired. Winnipeg was her home until her children coaxed her to follow them to Kelowna, B.C. and her final home at Mountain View Village which became her second family.

Her family held a 90th birthday celebration fo rher in 2011 which will leave her children and grand children fond memories o fher.

We wish to thank Mountain View staff for allowing Mom her independence as well the care and assistance she required later in her life.

Mom was predeceased by her husband George and infant son James. Left to mourn are her 3 daughters Joanne (Tim) Davies, Nancy (Ken)Schwartz, Elsa Sterbling. Her grandchildren Jennifer (Patrick) Chappellaz, Renn(Denise) Davies, Jeff (Brenda) Schwartz, Heidi Schwartz, and Mathew Bukoski. Three great-grandchildren and brother-in-law, George Resch.

A memorial service will be held at Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1910 Windsor Road in Kelowna, on Saturday, Nov.26 at 2:00 PM. Tea reception to be held after service. Arrangements in care of Everden Rust Funeral Services, (250) 860-6440.
